On the morning of August 26, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense, offered incense, paid tribute, and commemorated General Nguyen Chi Thanh, former member of the Politburo, former Deputy Secretary of the General Military Commission (now the Central Military Commission), former Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, and Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, former member of the Party Central Committee, former member of the Central Military Commission, former Deputy Minister of National Defense.

In a solemn atmosphere, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien expressed his respect and gratitude for the great contributions of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Thanh and Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh to the cause of national construction and defense.

The family representative who received the delegation was Ms. Dang Thi Minh Ngoc, wife of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh. Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien kindly inquired and gave an overview of the military and defense situation and the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day that are being widely organized throughout the army and the country.

Ms. Dang Thi Minh Ngoc also shared some of her family's recent activities, especially the coordination with localities in educating the younger generation about revolutionary traditions through the example of General Nguyen Chi Thanh.

At the meeting, Ms. Dang Thi Minh Ngoc respectfully presented Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien and the delegation with the book "President Ho Chi Minh and General Nguyen Chi Thanh" published by the People's Army Publishing House.

The book was compiled by the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace in collaboration with the General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum, and launched on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the day the General first met President Ho Chi Minh and was honored to be named Nguyen Chi Thanh by Him in Tan Trao - the Capital of the Liberated Zone (August 17, 1945 / August 17, 2025).

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien received the book "President Ho Chi Minh and General Nguyen Chi Thanh".

With 80 contents, the book vividly recreates the special relationship between President Ho Chi Minh and General Nguyen Chi Thanh, depicting the imprints in the life, career and great dedication of the General to the revolutionary cause, for independence, freedom, peace, national unification, for the socialist ideal. The publication of the book is also the realization of the lifelong wish of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh - son of General Nguyen Chi Thanh.
