Grasping the trend of the times, member universities of Danang University have been promoting international cooperation activities, enhancing student exchanges, and expanding the network of connections with partners around the world .
Expanding the network of cooperation
The fields that schools choose to cooperate in are very diverse, such as: student and lecturer exchange, co-organizing international conferences, conducting joint research, building joint training programs, etc.
Last July, the University of Economics (University of Danang ) welcomed a group of students from the Institute of Special Languages (ICFL), Busan University of Foreign Studies (Korea) to experience Vietnamese language and culture for 4 weeks.
Students from Korea experience a comprehensive learning and discovery journey, combining specialized Vietnamese language learning with a series of rich experiential activities imbued with local cultural identity, such as going to the market, shopping, asking for directions, making figurines, culinary exchanges, learning to cook Vietnamese dishes, visiting traditional craft villages, exploring Hoi An ancient town, My Son temple complex, etc.

Choi Yun Seo, a student at Busan University of Foreign Studies, expressed his impression of the friendliness and hospitality of Vietnamese people as well as the open learning atmosphere of students at the University of Economics. These experiences helped Choi Yun Seo understand more about the country and people of Vietnam, not through books but through real-life experiences.
In early August 2025, the University of Education (University of Danang) had 4 students from Mie University (Japan) come to do an internship, participating in an exchange program at the school from August 1-30 under the cooperation program signed between the two sides from 2023. In addition to professional internships, international students can participate in practical activities, experiences, and Vietnamese cultural exchanges organized by the school.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Principal of the University of Education, said that since 2002, the school has implemented student exchange activities, which is considered a part of the internationalization strategy of education. Up to now, the school has established and maintained student exchange cooperation with more than 40 partners from 26 different countries such as China, Japan, Korea, the United States, the Czech Republic, Thailand, etc.
Through the exchange program, students have the opportunity to study at partner universities, access professional knowledge in an international environment, develop communication skills, adaptability and critical thinking. More importantly, students experience and understand cultural diversity, thereby forming intercultural thinking and global integration capacity.
Innovation and capacity building
In order to meet international standards and improve training quality, universities implement training programs in English, increase the attraction of international lecturers and students to study and teach. In addition, they send young lecturers for postgraduate training abroad to build a team of highly qualified lecturers with international vision.

Scientific research activities are also promoted through international cooperation projects, publishing articles in prestigious international journals and organizing international scientific conferences.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu said that the school's lecturers have many scientific research activities with lecturers from other universities in the region. With its strengths, the school supports higher education institutions in the region to organize national and international scientific conferences such as participating in the review board, co-chairing... Many international articles by lecturers from some universities in the region were born from the support of research groups from the University of Education on research directions, using laboratories to conduct in-depth experiments.
In another direction, Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Principal of the University of Economics (University of Danang) shared that the school regularly coordinates to co-organize specialized international seminars with the participation of scientists and experts from many famous universities in the world.
Seminars, exchanges, and experience sharing related to professional content are widely announced by the school for lecturers from local universities to participate. This creates a professional academic environment, scientific research, and connections to improve scientific research capacity and experience in writing international articles.
The development strategy of Danang University to 2030, with a vision to 2045, clearly identifies promoting internationalization as one of the pillars of sustainable development. Member schools of Danang University are actively implementing internationally accredited training programs, while promoting the application of digital technology in management, teaching and international connections, aiming to build an open, connected, and creative educational ecosystem, contributing to improving the quality of human resources, serving the sustainable development of the Central Highlands - Central region and the whole country.
