On the afternoon of March 25, Captain Nguyen Tuan Anh, Chief of Lam Son Ward Police ( Thanh Hoa City) confirmed that the information that someone fell into the Coc River in the Dong Huong Bridge area on March 22 as reported by some social networking sites is incorrect.

Previously, on the morning of March 22, on some social networking sites, information was posted about a person having a motorbike accident and falling into the river in the Cau Coc river area, 50m from Dong Huong bridge towards Hoi An Park in Lam Son ward. There were also many negative comments such as: "Someone fell into the river", "someone died"... causing confusion among the public.

Upon receiving the information, Lam Son Ward Police sent forces to the scene to verify, investigate and clarify. Captain Nguyen Tuan Anh said: Through the investigation process, the Ward Police determined that the motorbike left in the above area was abandoned by a citizen residing in Dong Ve Ward who was drunk and was brought home safely by relatives.

The citizen has now gone to Lam Son Ward Police to report and the vehicle has been returned. Lam Son Ward Police informs the public of the incident so that they can be fully informed and avoid rumors and inaccurate comments about the incident, causing public confusion.
