On the morning of June 7, a student had a fever at the Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School exam site in Thu Duc City. The student was taken care of and encouraged by medical staff, and then returned to the exam room as prescribed.
At the Nguyen Thai Binh Secondary School in District 6, a candidate used a ruler with documents written on it. The supervisor confiscated the evidence and suspended the candidate from the exam.
Also according to the department, in the afternoon exam on June 7, there was a candidate whose middle school registered the wrong type of integrated exam, resulting in the candidate not having his name to take the type 2 integrated exam (for candidates who wish to study integrated high school but have not studied integrated middle school).
The examination board quickly re-identified the registration documents and provided timely support so that candidates could take the exam according to regulations.
In addition, at the Nguyen Huu Tho High School exam site in District 4, an exam room leaked due to heavy rain on the afternoon of June 7. The exam board quickly moved the candidates to a backup exam room and gave them extra time.
Evaluating the first 10th grade entrance exam under the 2018 General Education Program, Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said: "The exam took place stably and smoothly with the organization being carried out strictly and in accordance with regulations. The authorities have prepared carefully, ensuring all necessary conditions for the successful organization of the exam.
Special attention was paid to the health care of candidates. Although there were some cases of candidates having health problems, the medical system at the examination sites operated effectively, provided timely support and handled the situation flexibly, ensuring the rights of candidates.
