On the afternoon of June 7, more than 76,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City officially finished the 10th grade exam for the 2025-2026 school year, and this special milestone also ended months of "studying hard" to become freshmen at the school of their dreams. At this time, some candidates told Thanh Nien that instead of "taking a break" and spending time relaxing at home or traveling , they are continuing to plan their studies for the coming time.
Among them, Nguyen Khanh Ngoc, a student at the Practicing High School (Saigon University), chose to self-study Japanese because of her love for Japanese animated films (anime). "Before entering high school, I want to take the opportunity to learn a new language to better understand the original dialogue in the film and be able to apply it in my studies or study abroad," the female student shared.

Also learning another language, Nguyen Thuy Song Tra, a student at Nguyen Van To Secondary School (District 10), said that she chose Spanish because she intends to study in the US after graduating from high school. "English is a compulsory language, but in the US, Spanish is also very popular, so I want to learn it first so that I won't be confused later," Tra explained.
Not only studying foreign languages, Tra also plans to learn programming or 3D graphic design to pursue her personal passion, while also equipping herself with hard skills to confidently participate in extracurricular activities and clubs at high school.
Nguyen Bao Lam, a student at Lu Gia Secondary School (District 11), said that he will register for extra classes in early July, returning to books and blackboards to quickly adapt to the 10th grade curriculum. "I plan to take summer classes at school or a tutoring center and will also read and learn in advance in textbooks so as not to be 'overwhelmed' when I officially enter high school," the male student revealed.
However, that is only a plan for the next few weeks. In the immediate future, Lam excitedly said that he will travel to many domestic destinations such as Phu Quoc, Da Nang , Vung Tau... with his family to "cool off" from the "sizzling" days he has just experienced.

Sharing the same plan, Nguyen Hoang Thao Nguyen, a student at Tran Quang Khai Secondary School (Tan Phu District), said that she also wanted to take about a month off to rest and relax before returning to the "cycle" of studying to catch up with the 10th grade program. "The past few days, my exams have been okay, all subjects are relatively within my ability," the female student added.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the exam marking process begins today (June 8), and the 10th grade exam results and benchmark scores of 76,154 candidates are expected to be announced on June 23.
