Hai Duong: Businesses need 5 times more workers than job seekers

The demand for labor recruitment is high while the number of job seekers is limited, causing a large gap between labor supply and demand.

Unskilled labor is the group of labor that businesses need to recruit the most, accounting for 81.26%.

According to survey data compiled by the Hai Duong Center for Employment Services - VocationalEducation (Department of Home Affairs) at 470 enterprises with recruitment needs in the province, these enterprises have a need to recruit 13,066 workers.

Of these, the majority are unskilled workers with 10,618 people (accounting for 81.26%). The remaining recruitment needs are 1,242 mid-level specialists; 358 machine and equipment operators and assemblers; 291 high-level specialists; 260 craftsmen and related occupations; 155 office assistants; and the rest are service and sales staff.

However, according to the Hai Duong Vocational Education and Employment Service Center, the number of workers registering to find jobs at the center only meets about 20% of the recruitment needs of businesses.

To attract workers, in addition to implementing the correct salary and bonus policies, many businesses also give bonuses to new employees, bonuses to those who introduce new employees to work... but the number of recruited workers still does not meet demand.
