Mr. Le Hoang Phuong - Phuoc Tien Village, Tan Phuoc Commune, La Gi Town

The initial capital that Mr. Phuong spent to start this breeding model was more than 50 million VND to buy 40 breeding rabbits and equip 40 cages. With diligence, hard work and perseverance, Mr. Phuong now owns more than 300 large and small breeding rabbits (including wild rabbits and New Zealand rabbits) with more than 120 cages. Mr. Phuong shared: “The output of this wild rabbit and New Zealand rabbit hybrid is quite stable. On the other hand, rabbits are easy to raise livestock, rabbit meat is also a protein-rich, nutritious dish, so it is favored by the market. On the other hand, the food used to raise rabbits is quite easy to find and can take advantage of available food sources such as local vegetables, low investment costs, simple care, rabbits have few diseases, gain weight quickly and have a stable output”.

Rabbit farming model of Mr. Le Hoang Phuong

Every month, after deducting expenses, the model of raising hybrid wild rabbits and New Zealand rabbits brings a profit of 12 - 15 million VND to the young man Le Hoang Phuong. However, to achieve that result, it is not easy for the young man of the 9X generation. Because raising rabbits inherently requires the breeder to be diligent and hard-working because the average time to take care of rabbits each day is up to 12 hours, especially for the rabbits to grow and develop well, the breeder must stay up late from 10 pm the night before until 2 am the next morning to feed the rabbits. At the same time, the cages must also be cleaned regularly. With a cage area of about 120 m2, it is designed with a high roof, 2 sides using mobile tarpaulin to cover rain and cold, ensuring coolness in the summer and warmth in the winter. In addition, Mr. Phuong also designed automatic water pipes right at each cage so that the rabbits can easily drink water. With a hygienic system of cages and food, along with the good application of scientific and technical advances, Mr. Phuong's rabbits have developed quite well. To save costs, Mr. Phuong also takes advantage of his family's vacant land to grow water spinach and turns it into the main source of food for his rabbits. In addition to water spinach, Mr. Phuong also feeds the rabbits with grass, corn bran, rice bran, etc.

It is known that, in addition to selling rabbit breeds at a price of about 120,000 - 140,000 VND/kg, commercial rabbits at a price of 100,000 - 120,000 VND/kg, Mr. Phuong also supplies rabbit manure to many farmers in the area. Although there are still many difficulties ahead, but with the will and determination of youth, the desire to learn and enthusiasm in doing business , the 9X youth Le Hoang Phuong gradually asserts himself and gradually rises in life.

Mr. Phuong designed an automatic water pipe for rabbits to drink water easily.

Sharing with us, Mr. Phuong hopes that through his model of raising hybrid wild rabbits and New Zealand hybrid rabbits, it will be one of the suggestions for young people who do not have a future career orientation or do not have a stable job to apply. He is willing to share the methods, care processes as well as the secrets of raising rabbits that he has applied from practice for over a year so that everyone, especially young people in La Gi, want to learn about this model.
