Regional Safe Food Week: Connecting safe food to distribution channels 150 booths participating in the Hanoi City Safe Food and Agricultural Products Fair in 2023

On the morning of November 9, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province held the opening ceremony of "Exhibition and introduction of safe agricultural and food products of Thanh Hoa province, 2023". Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Phung Duc Tien, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Department of Trade Promotion of the Ministry of Industry and Trade ; representatives of the leaders of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province and the Department of Industry and Trade of Thanh Hoa.

The 2023 Thanh Hoa Province Agricultural Products Exhibition and Introduction will take place for 5 days, from November 9 to 13, 2023, attracting 138 participating units with 200 booths. Of which, there are 40 booths from 27 districts, towns and cities in Thanh Hoa province; 10 booths from 5 industry organizations and associations; 118 booths from 84 enterprises, cooperatives, OCOP entities and 32 booths from 22 provinces and cities across the country such as: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Nghe An, Quang Nam, Thai Binh, Yen Bai, Nam Dinh, Hoa Binh, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Dien Bien, Ninh Binh, Ha Nam, Quang Ninh, Binh Duong .

Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Thanh Hoa province attended the opening ceremony.

This is an opportunity for businesses, cooperatives and farmers from localities inside and outside the province to exchange and promote agricultural products, safe agricultural products, OCOP products, and regional culinary specialties of their localities to consumers.

This is also an opportunity for businesses and cooperatives to learn more about and sign economic contracts and memorandums of understanding on the supply and consumption of products, promoting the production, circulation, processing and consumption of safe agricultural products and food between localities in conjunction with the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang emphasized that the series of events of the Conference on connecting supply - demand and displaying and introducing safe agricultural products and food of Thanh Hoa province in 2023 will be a useful playground for businesses, cooperatives, and farming households in exchanging and connecting to consume agricultural products and food of Thanh Hoa province and other provinces and cities. Thereby, many contracts for supplying agricultural products were signed; levels, sectors, localities, businesses and production households in the province received a lot of valuable information about market demand, from which to have production and business plans, improve the quality of agricultural products towards more fully meeting the requirements on quality, design, and seasonality of the domestic and export markets.

During the events, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, together with relevant departments, branches, units, and People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities, is requested to properly implement the contents according to the plan, ensuring that the organization of the conference's series of events must be absolutely safe, economical, practical, and highly effective.
