On the afternoon of June 30, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung chaired a national online conference to review the progress and results of implementing interconnected and synchronous digital transformation tasks to prepare for the implementation of a smooth, effective, and uninterrupted two-level local government model from July 1.
Attending the conference at the Thai Nguyen provincial bridge point were comrade Nguyen Thi Loan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee on science , technology development, innovation, digital transformation and Project 06 of Thai Nguyen province; representatives of departments and branches of the province.
At the Conference, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Science and Technology and localities reported on the progress and results of implementing tasks to prepare for the implementation of the 2-level local government model, focusing on contents related to institutions and architecture; technical infrastructure and technology; data; platforms and applications serving people, businesses and operations of agencies; human resources and finance, etc.
Accordingly, up to now, preparations in provinces and cities have been basically completed, ensuring a smooth, effective, and uninterrupted transition in serving people and businesses from July 1 when the two-level local government model officially operates nationwide.
However, some localities still face difficulties in infrastructure, equipment, network quality and human resources. Central ministries and branches are continuing to provide guidance and technical support to ensure that all localities are ready to operate the two-tier government model according to the set plan.
For Thai Nguyen province, to be ready for the implementation of a two-level local government model that operates smoothly, effectively, and without interruption, the province has completed the unification of processes, announced administrative procedures, and integrated 100% of online public services being provided into the National Public Service Portal; fixed technical errors, and ensured smooth operations.
Currently, the equipment at the public administrative centers of 92 communes/wards has been upgraded and expanded to ensure that it meets the requirements of the new local government model. The province has established 2,255 community digital technology teams with nearly 14,000 members. The community digital technology teams ensure effective operation to support and promptly resolve problems for officials and people at the grassroots level...
Concluding the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung acknowledged and highly appreciated the spirit of urgency and positive results in performing the tasks of ministries, branches and localities. At the same time, he requested ministries, branches and localities to promptly detect and overcome difficulties in the trial operation of the two-level local government.
Ensure that 100% of administrative procedures under the jurisdiction of ministries, branches and localities are synchronized and unified on the administrative procedure settlement information systems at the ministerial and provincial levels.
The Deputy Prime Minister also requested telecommunications enterprises to mobilize the best resources, establish working groups to support localities 24/7, ensuring stable and safe operation of technical systems.
