(CLO) On December 10, the discussion "Improving university standards with Circular 01 - Overcoming difficulties or encountering difficulties" organized by VietnamEducation Electronic Magazine and EQuest Group attracted the attention of many experts, leaders, and representatives of many higher education institutions across the country.


Speaking at the opening of the seminar, journalist Nguyen Tien Binh - Vice President of the Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Education Electronic Magazine shared that, accompanying higher education institutions, in October 2024, Vietnam Education Electronic Magazine successfully organized 2 seminars on "Education quality assessment by foreign and domestic organizations" and "Universities find it difficult to find "suitable PhDs" to open majors".

“Following that success, today, Vietnam Education Electronic Magazine organizes a discussion on “Improving university standards with Circular 01 - Overcoming difficulties or encountering difficulties” to record opinions from higher education institutions and experts to have a basis and specific content to recommend policies to the Ministry of Education and Training to reduce pressure (on facilities, teaching staff, etc.) for schools while still ensuring the quality of teaching and research”, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Tien Binh expressed.

At the seminar, many other opinions also discussed enthusiastically about the criteria for lecturers, facilities, and finance set forth in Circular No. 01; especially identifying the challenges and difficulties for higher education institutions training in specific fields such as art, or schools in inner-city areas, private schools, etc.

Some recommendations are that the state should have a policy to prioritize land funds for education, and this must be specified in local planning, even planning in the education sector...
