In his opening speech, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Trung Kien emphasized that the task of caring for the Vietnamese community abroad has always been one of the focuses of foreign affairs and national solidarity work, which has been closely directed by the Party and State with a series of major policies and guidelines over the past decades.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, the activities of disseminating and answering legal questions for Vietnamese people living, working and studying in Korea not only aim to increase the dissemination and education of Vietnamese law to overseas Vietnamese but also connect and provide legal information of countries around the world to overseas Vietnamese, contributing to raising the legal awareness of overseas Vietnamese, helping the community integrate well, be respected, loved and have a solid legal status in the host country.

At the Korean end, Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Vu Ho said that there are currently about 350,000 Vietnamese people living, studying and working in many provinces and cities of Korea. The Vietnamese community in Korea is a young community, developing and integrating quickly with the local society, actively participating in many fields and professions and always looking towards the homeland and country.

"Therefore, helping people fully and accurately grasp information about the laws of Vietnam and Korea, especially regulations related to investment in Vietnam and foreign workers in Korea, plays a very important role," Ambassador Vu Ho emphasized.
