Strengthen inspection and monitoring of clean water quality used for domestic purposes

The Provincial People's Committee has just directed to strengthen the inspection and supervision of the quality of clean water used for domestic purposes. Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requests relevant units and localities, according to their assigned functions and tasks, based on current regulations, the actual situation of the locality and the content and proposal of the Ministry of Health in Official Dispatch No. 3063/BYT-PB dated May 20, 2025 on strengthening the inspection and supervision of the quality of clean water used for domestic purposes, to implement according to their authority, ensuring compliance with legal regulations; in cases beyond their authority, report and advise the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.

Official dispatch No. 3063/BYT-PB of the Ministry of Health requests the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to pay attention to properly implementing the provisions in Clause 2, Article 6 of Circular No. 52/2024/TT-BYT, specifically: Directing relevant units to continue implementing the provisions of Circular No. 41/2018/TT-BYT and Circular No. 26/2021/TT-BYT until they expire; organizing the dissemination, guidance and implementation of Circular No. 52/2024/TT-BYT when this Circular takes effect. Review, develop a plan to amend and promulgate local technical regulations on clean water quality to comply with the Project on rearrangement and reorganization of administrative units at all levels and building a 2-level local government organization model according to Decision No. 759/QD-TTg dated April 14, 2025 of the Prime Minister.

Allocate sufficient resources for external inspection, testing, and monitoring of clean water quality periodically and unexpectedly according to regulations; ensure continuous supply of clean water to people in case of incidents related to clean water quality; identify areas of water exploitation at risk in the area for control as well as advise people when exploiting water for domestic use.
