According to a VNA reporter in Moscow, the All-Russian Vietnamese Table Tennis Tournament (VRTT) to celebrate major holidays of Vietnam and the Russian Federation such as Victory Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025, May 9, 1945 - May 9, 2025), and the National Day of the Russian Federation (June 12) gathered 60 amateur athletes from table tennis clubs in many cities of the Russian Federation.
Contributing to the 2025 summer sports event series and organized with the motto "Fun-Healthy-Solidarity", the VRTT Tournament is not simply a table tennis tournament, but the tournament organizers have also integrated children's art programs and Vietnamese martial arts performances, receiving the response and support from a large number of viewers as well as athletes.
As in his welcoming speech for the tournament, Mr. Nguyen Hai Dang, Deputy Secretary of the Vietnamese Party Committee in the Russian Federation, realized that this integration created a broader appeal for the tournament, as well as becoming an opportunity to introduce Vietnamese culture to Russian friends.
Vice President of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in the Russian Federation Tran Phu Thuan acknowledged the community spirit of the Organizing Committee, affirming that healthy sports activities contribute to building the overseas Vietnamese community, connecting those who have settled with students and postgraduates.
Chairman of the Table Tennis Association Do Van Tieu said that the cost of the tournament comes from donations from sponsors. The prize money is not large, but being able to compete and join together towards the national flag has greater spiritual significance.
After 3 years of establishment, the Vietnam Table Tennis Association in the Russian Federation has gradually improved its quality, increased the number of participants, and the competition regulations have also been improved after each organization.

Athletes compete in categories: doubles, singles and especially there is a Premier category for high-level athletes. Also thanks to the prestige of the tournament, this year there are other cities in the Russian Federation and Russian athletes participating in the tournament. This makes the matches both sporty and people-to-people diplomacy .
Although Russia is a country with a cold climate and short summer, in recent years, clubs of many popular sports have been operating regularly, attracting a large number of people, and have increasingly become an indispensable spiritual food for overseas Vietnamese in Russia./.
