Departure suspension for Chairman of Vietnam Feature Film Studio

Vietnam Feature Film Studio (No. 4 Thuy Khue, Hanoi ) was once the pride of Vietnam's revolutionary cinema.

The Hanoi Tax Department has just sent a document to the Immigration Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) regarding the temporary suspension of exit from the country for Mr. Nguyen Danh Thang, legal representative and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Feature Film Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (Vietnam Feature Film Studio).

Mr. Nguyen Danh Thang's exit from the country was temporarily suspended due to tax debt owed by Vietnam Feature Film Studio.

Previously, on November 21, 2023, the Hanoi Tax Department issued Decision No. 81970/QD-CTHN-QLN, on enforcing the measure of stopping the use of invoices against Vietnam Feature Film Studio.

A few days ago, the Hanoi Tax Department also sent a document to the Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment, informing about this content.

“The Hanoi Tax Department informs the Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment so that the agency can coordinate in providing information to the tax authority in case Vietnam Feature Film Studio changes its legal representative, and at the same time provide documents proving the change to the tax authority,” the source said.

Vietnam Feature Film Studio (at 4 Thuy Khue Street, Tay Ho District, Hanoi) was the leading bird of revolutionary cinema. After equitization, the studio almost stopped its artistic activities. Currently, the studio's headquarters are mostly abandoned, degraded, causing waste.
