According to information from the People's Committee of Trieu Son district, on March 31, the district issued an official dispatch on temporarily suspending the merger of primary schools in Trieu Son town.
The content of the document stated that although the District People's Committee, the Department of Education and Training, and the People's Committee of Trieu Son town had disseminated, disseminated, and explained the policy and procedures for school mergers. However, after the dialogue (afternoon of March 29), at Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School, the majority of parents and residents still did not agree.
In the face of the above situation, to ensure security and order in the area; to ensure the school attendance of students of Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School, the District People's Committee proposed that the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee consider temporarily suspending the merger of the two above schools.
To propagate and mobilize people to clearly understand the regulations and policies to temporarily suspend the merger of primary schools in the area, the Town People's Committee has the following opinions:

The town People's Committee has not yet developed a project or plan to merge primary schools in the area; it will not merge schools without consulting with officials, teachers, parents and the people. Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School remains in its original location and organizes teaching and learning as usual.
The town People's Committee requested Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School to propagate and encourage students not to skip school without permission, which would affect their studies. The school must propagate to parents to continue sending students to school. If parents still deliberately do not send their children to school, it will violate their right to study.
The school needs to assign teachers to grasp the situation, the number of students attending class, manage and organize normal teaching. Every day, teachers compile a list of students who are absent without reason, report to the school leaders to report to the Town People's Committee.
The Town People's Committee requests the school's Parents' Association to coordinate with the school to propagate to all parents to clearly understand the content of the school merger that has not been implemented. Propaganda and mobilization for students to go to school normally, without violating their right to study.
The Command Boards of Residential Groups 1, 2, 3, and 4 propagated and mobilized people about the policy of temporarily suspending the merger, so that parents could take their children to school without affecting the students' studies.
Previously, on the afternoon of March 27, parents of Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School simultaneously let 457 students stay home from school to protest the plan to merge with Le Van Tam Primary School.
Parents gave the reason that merging schools would make it harder for students to commute, making it dangerous for both students and school staff to cross provincial roads. In addition, the facilities were inadequate and the number of students was too large.
