Driver violated alcohol concentration at the time of traffic police check

On January 6, the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police announced that it had issued a fine to an ambulance driver who violated alcohol concentration and carried people to celebrate after the victory of the Vietnamese team.

At around 11:55 p.m. on January 5, on Nghiem Xuan Yem Street (Hoang Mai District, Hanoi), a task force from the Traffic Police Department discovered a car with an ambulance logo and a priority signal device, but instead of carrying patients, it was carrying football fans. The fans opened the car doors, hung flags, and cheered.

The authorities stopped the vehicle for inspection and discovered many violations.

Accordingly, the driver of the vehicle was Mr. LTH (34 years old, from Thanh Hoa ).

Working with the traffic police, Mr. H. could not present his driver's license, vehicle registration, technical safety and environmental protection inspection stamp that had expired for more than a month.

The result of Mr. H's alcohol concentration test was 0.514 mg/liter of breath.

The time when the ambulance carries people "in storm"

Traffic police have issued a record of Mr. H.'s administrative violations, with a total fine of more than 64 million VND, and the car has also been temporarily detained.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Tu Anh, Deputy Captain of Traffic Police Team No. 14 (Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police) said that this is the first case where the unit detected an alcohol concentration above the maximum limit (0.4 mg/liter of breath) since Decree 168/2024/ND-CP took effect.
