Over the past 60 years, from a small workshop with simple products, Thai Nguyen Refractory Materials Group Joint Stock Company has become one of the leading refractory materials enterprises in the country, with 2 main facilities in Thai Nguyen and Ninh Binh. Thai Nguyen Refractory Materials Group Joint Stock Company aims for sustainable development and "green production".

During the fiercest period of the resistance war against the US to save the country, on July 20, 1965, the refractory material factory of the Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Complex was established - the predecessor of today's Thai Nguyen Refractory Materials Group Joint Stock Company. For the first time in history, Vietnam was able to produce strategic materials without depending on imports. Since then, July 20, 1965 has become a milestone in the birth of a strategic manufacturing industry, contributing to the process of industrialization and modernization of the country.

From a small workshop, through 6 decades of construction and development, many types of materials have effectively served metallurgy, contributing to bringing the country's iron and steel industry into a stable orbit, making important contributions to the cause of resistance against the US to save the country and build the country today.

In 2004, the Company converted the factory into a joint stock company model. This was an important and correct step in moving the enterprise from a centrally planned mechanism to operating under a market mechanism, taking initiative in finance and production.

After equitization, the Company embarked on comprehensive innovation: Building new factories, investing in modern equipment from Germany, Japan, China; promoting product research and development, especially high-grade refractory materials such as: MgO-C bricks, spinel magnesium, high-grade aluminum, Mulit SIC bricks...

These products not only serve the metallurgy and cement industries, but are also supplied to the chemical and shipbuilding industries and partly exported to international markets. Each year, the Company produces and supplies 60 - 65 thousand tons of refractory materials to the market.

One of the secrets for the Company to stand firm and develop as it is today is to care about the lives of its employees, so that employees can feel secure in their attachment to the Company, considering the Company as their second home.

After equitization, Thai Nguyen Refractory Materials Group Joint Stock Company has been comprehensively renovated.
