Who is the handsome 1m93 tall, muscular actor playing Superman?

David Corenswet - the American actor chosen to play Superman just celebrated his 32nd birthday. He has an outstanding height of 1.93m, bulging muscles and a perfect body.

With the return of the DC cinematic universe this summer, audiences will be reunited with familiar characters like Superman, Lois Lane and super villain Lex Luthor - but with completely new faces under the direction of director James Gunn. The focus of attention among these is Superman David Corenswet

David Corenswet was born in 1993 in Philadelphia. He started acting in 2002 and studied drama at the prestigious Juilliard School. Recently, David Corenswet appeared in many major films such as Twisters, The Greatest Hits, Pearl and Look Both Ways.

David Corenswet wasn't a fan of Superman growing up. Although he knew the character as a pop culture icon, Corenswet had never read a comic book or seen a Superman movie, not even the famous Christopher Reeve version.

For him, the closest connection to Superman is that like the hero of Metropolis, Corenswet loves to help with small things that make people around him happy.

The opportunity to cast Corenswet as Superman came when James Gunn watched the movie Pearl directed by Ti West, a close friend of his. As soon as he saw Corenswet on screen, James Gunn knew this was the Superman he wanted and he affirmed that anyone who saw the movie believed that David Corenswet was Superman.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in 2019, David Corenswet said his dream role was Superman and unexpectedly, four years later, his dream came true when David Corenswet was cast in the role.

To prepare physically for the role, David Corenswet went to the gym regularly, lifting weights for nearly 3 hours a day and doing many other heavy exercises to get the best body shape for the role. He gained nearly 20kg to be able to wear the Superman suit without any makeup.

David Corenswet is very private about his personal life. He married director and producer Julia Best Warner in March 2023 but rarely appears with his wife or shares about her.
