Recreating the journey of '80 years of Independence-Freedom-Happiness' through music

The program not only performed musical works, dances, and echoed profound poems, but also expressed deep gratitude to the generations who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

On the evening of September 1, the special art program "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" took place at My Dinh Stadium ( Hanoi ).

This is a program assigned by the Party and State leaders to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and implemented by the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet in coordination with art units.

The program welcomed General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, veteran revolutionaries, heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the People's Armed Forces, leaders of departments, ministries, branches, localities, international guests and about 20,000 spectators.

The program aims to honor the 80-year journey of formation and development of the new Vietnam: From the struggle for independence, defending the Fatherland to the cause of innovation and integration, and at the same time is a tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, heroic martyrs and compatriots and soldiers nationwide who sacrificed for independence, unification, peace and development as well as inspire the aspiration to contribute, innovate, and develop a prosperous and happy country in the new era, especially for the young generation.

The program was elaborately staged on a grand scale with the participation of nearly 3,000 professional and non-professional artists, along with orchestras, choirs and mass actors from many major art units across the country.

In particular, the program has the participation of People's Artist Thanh Lam, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, Trong Tan, Meritorious Artist Pham Khanh Ngoc, singers Pham Thu Ha, My Tam, Tung Duong, Den Vau, Soobin Hoang Son, Mono, Double2T, Sen Hoang My Lam, Lam Bao Ngoc, Ngoc Khanh Chi, Minh Ngoc, Anh Tu, Dong Hung, Hoang Bach, Oplus group, Ngu Cung, Dong Thoi Gian...

The program is divided into three chapters with tight content, profound art and politics.

The opening chapter, titled "The Road to Independence and Unification", recreates the heroic history of the nation from the long night of slavery to the day President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, the Dien Bien Phu victory and the Great Spring Victory of 1975, unifying the country.

The highlight is the symphony "My Fatherland" resounding like a call to arms combining the symphony and folk orchestra with more than 1,000 dancers opening a grand choral picture of love for the homeland.

In particular, the "Declaration of Independence" scene recreates the sacred moment at the historic Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945, with the image of President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

Chapter two "Aspiration for the Fatherland" opens up a renewed, developed and integrated Vietnam with images and artistic video clips depicting the unified and joyful atmosphere of the nation after 1975.

Chapter three "My Fatherland, Never So Beautiful" has a strong contemporary tone, connecting the past, present and future, spreading the message of national unity and solidarity and Vietnam's aspiration to reach far.

The special report "Summary of 80 years of achievements" takes the audience back to the country's strong development journey in the fields of science, education, culture, sports and international integration. The "Marching Song" resounds in the solemn atmosphere, blending with the singing of the children's choir, symphony orchestra, dancers and mass forces.

Closing the program was the song "Love Vietnam's Smile" filled with faith sung by many generations of artists and choir, leaving behind echoes of a beautiful, united Vietnam full of aspirations to reach far.

Speaking at the program, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that over the past 80 years, culture and art have accompanied the nation, creating a source of nourishment for the soul, strength, spirit and will of Vietnam.

Today's special art program not only features musical works, dances, and profound poems, but also a profound tribute to previous generations who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

“Music is a magical bridge, where the love of a mother is immense and protective; where the 'Aspirations of Youth' and the passionate, burning love of couples blend in the sacred and immortal love of the Fatherland. When the music plays, people's hearts will come together to join hands in solidarity to build an increasingly powerful, prosperous, free and happy Vietnam,” said Minister Nguyen Van Hung./.
