On the very first day of the National Day holiday on September 2 this year, many entertainment destinations in the capital recorded a crowded situation. One of the destinations that has received the attention of many people in recent days is the National Exhibition Center (VEC) located in Dong Anh, Hanoi .
The exhibition has indoor and outdoor display spaces with a total area of nearly 260,000m2 equipped with many modern technologies.
This is where people and tourists have the opportunity to learn about the glorious historical journey, spread patriotism, national pride, aspirations to rise up, affirm the potential and position of Vietnam on the path of innovation, integration and development.

According to records, from around 10am on August 30, Truong Sa Street - the main road leading to VEC - began to be congested. By 5:30pm the same day, the congestion continued, mainly on the lane from Long Bien.
On many social media platforms, images and videos shared of some routes to VEC being congested for long periods of time received a large amount of interaction.
Notably, vehicles were stuck for kilometers at Dong Tru bridge towards VEC. Many drivers said they were stuck for hours, moving only a few meters at a time.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Tuan Tu said that from 9am on August 30, the whole family of the Hanoi guest departed from the Agricultural Academy in Gia Lam. Having continuously watched information about the exhibition on the media, Mr. Tu wanted to take advantage of the holiday to bring his wife and children to experience it.
The family traveled by private car. Mr. Tu estimated that the distance of just over 10km would not take much time, so he planned for the family to enjoy the whole day at the exhibition.
However, contrary to his initial calculations, Mr. Tu was surprised to see the traffic jam getting longer and longer. The Hanoi visitor inched his way onto Dong Tru Bridge, waiting for an hour without being able to cross the bridge.
At nearly 2 p.m., when he had crossed the bridge and was a short distance from the Exhibition Center, Mr. Tu observed that the traffic jam was getting longer and more serious. Therefore, as soon as he saw the turnoff, he decided to turn around and drive straight home.
"My family and I are very sorry because the children are very excited to come here to experience. However, if we continue to move, I don't know how long it will take to move meter by meter. Because the children are also tired and hungry, my husband and I had to turn the car around and make an appointment to come to the exhibition another time," Mr. Tu shared.

Faced with a similar situation, Ms. Bich Ngoc's family (Yen So ward, Hanoi) traveled on the morning of August 30. After nearly 6 hours, they arrived at their destination, but when they witnessed the magnificent scenery inside, the guests found it completely worth it.
"This is definitely a place not to be missed when tourists come to Hanoi at this time. My family could spend a whole day and still not experience everything. Take the opportunity to learn about the country's history and have the opportunity to experience the most advanced products gathered in one event," said Ms. Ngoc.
Regarding this incident, on the same afternoon, a representative of Traffic Police Team No. 5 (Hanoi Traffic Police Department) said that the cause of the prolonged traffic jam was due to the large number of people pouring onto the road.
Many families wanted to go to the National Exhibition Center to visit the exhibition "80 Years of Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness". This led to many long traffic jams.
It is known that this unit is still actively organizing traffic flow on managed routes towards the National Exhibition Center.
Mr. Huy Hoang, a resident of Dong Anh, said that on the morning of August 31, the traffic jam situation had improved.
However, according to Mr. Hoang, visitors should park their vehicles at the foot of Dong Tru Bridge on the Long Bien side and then walk from this area to the Exhibition Center (more than 1km) to reduce traffic congestion.
The exhibition of the country's achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day with the theme "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" affirms Vietnam's position in the international arena and inspires the young generation with national pride.
This is the largest exhibition ever held, with the full participation of 28 ministries, central agencies, 34 localities and more than 110 large enterprises and economic groups with more than 230 booths.
The exhibition is held from August 28 to September 5 and is free to the public.
