Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics commented: "The mission of the youth is always closely linked to the mission of the nation and the role of the youth has always been placed at the center of the revolutionary cause by our Party and President Ho Chi Minh. As the most populous force, playing the role of pillars of the country's future, the young generation of Vietnam has worthily inherited the glorious tradition of the previous generation".
Professor Dr. Le Van Loi also affirmed that the legacy of the young man Nguyen Tat Thanh - Nguyen Ai Quoc, along with the historical role of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association, 100 years ago, is still present, accompanying, leading, and transmitting great momentum to the generation of Vietnamese youth to step firmly into the era of innovation and integration.
Today, the young generation of Vietnam is living in peace and independence, inheriting a priceless heritage and a foundation that previous generations have worked hard to build. Vietnam has never had the potential, position and international prestige as it does today. This is a favorable environment and conditions for young people to develop their talents, intelligence and fulfill their missions.

The scientific conference “The mission of youth in the revolutionary cause of the Party” received 78 papers. The papers clarified the historical birth of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association and the mission of youth in the context of today's country.
Comrade Bui Quang Huy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union, once again affirmed that the past 100 years of history have proven that, at any stage, youth is a great social force, one of the important factors deciding the future and destiny of the nation.
At the Workshop, Comrade Bui Quang Huy summarized and emphasized a number of core issues. First, the Workshop affirmed the position, role, historical significance and great contributions of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
The presentations clarified: The birth of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association was a historical necessity, a product of the genius intellect and timeless vision of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc after his journey of searching for a way to save the country. He found the path to national liberation associated with socialism.
The workshop drew valuable lessons and historical legacies of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association for the Vietnamese revolution and youth work. That is the lesson of educating the youth in ideals and communism. The Association is a vivid embodiment of this strategic ideology when, for the first time in history, a revolutionary organization focusing on youth was built on the foundation of Marxism-Leninism, instead of just based on emotional patriotism. That ideology did not stop at the slogan level, but was concretized into a strategy for training, enlightening and organizing youth through the Association's activities.
The organization and operation of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association is an important premise for studying and promoting the “mission of youth” in the new revolutionary period. The historical mission of today’s youth is the continuation, inheritance and development of the revolutionary ideals of previous generations in the new conditions of the country and the international context. It is a pioneering mission in the cause of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country, building and firmly defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
From the historical tradition of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association, Comrade Bui Quang Huy emphasized a number of issues. Firstly, it is necessary to continue to fundamentally and comprehensively innovate the content and methods of educating the young generation on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles. The educational work of the Youth Union needs to focus on orienting and implementing the "3 unities" in the awareness and actions of the youth: The ideal of the youth is to be steadfast with the Party's ideals; the goal of the youth is to contribute to the goals of the Party and the entire nation; the actions of the youth are to contribute to building a clean and strong Party in all aspects, building a prosperous, civilized, and happy country.

To do so, we must firmly adhere to the principles, which are Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought, and national independence associated with socialism; at the same time, we need to adjust methods to suit the requirements of the new situation, focusing on promoting digital transformation; shifting the propaganda and education work of the Youth Union from one-way to multi-dimensional, with regular interaction with union members and young people, making union members the "subjects" of educational work.
Second, we must always consider revolutionary action movements as the most vivid practical environment for educating, training and gathering young people, so that young people can demonstrate their determination and awareness . Our Party has recently issued many important policies of revolutionary and strategic significance to bring the country into the "era of rising up", the Resolutions are considered the "Strategic Quartet" on scientific research, innovation, digital transformation, international integration, institutional improvement and private economic development. These are also the new requirements of revolutionary practice and require the Youth Union to research and establish substantive revolutionary action movements in the coming time.
Finally, we must constantly strive to build a strong Youth Union, expand the front of solidarity to gather young people, improve the political quality of union members, create a quality human resource for the Party, worthy of being the "reliable reserve force" of the Party. It is necessary to seriously implement the policy of streamlining the apparatus, contributing to improving the quality of activities of the entire system; adjusting the method of organizing activities, promoting the strength of the entire system, especially at the grassroots level. Building a strong Youth Union from the grassroots level, mobilizing strength right on the spot, right from the locality, expanding the front of solidarity to gather young people.
