Famous Tuong Binh Hiep lacquerware

Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer craft is recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. This traditional craft village located in Tuong Binh Hiep ward (Thu Dau Mot city) has been inherited and preserved by generations of Binh Duong people for more than 200 years. For a long time, Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer products have been famous throughout the country for their quality, sophistication and unique, gentle Asian beauty.

We had the opportunity to visit Dinh Hoa lacquerware facility, located in Tuong Binh Hiep craft village, which was established nearly 50 years ago. The facility is owned by artisan Truong Quan Tinh, currently gathering about 20 artisans working, who still possess nearly lost decorative techniques such as lacquer carving and lacquer painting. Due to the complexity of implementation, long production cycle and high cost of raw materials, lacquer paintings and lacquer carvings at this facility are considered precious specialties of Binh Duong .

Dinh Hoa lacquerware facility is located at 81 Ho Van Cong Street, Tuong Binh Hiep Ward, Thu Dau Mot City.

There are currently about 20 workers working at Dinh Hoa facility, including elderly artisans who hold unique, almost lost techniques such as lacquer carving and lacquer painting.

With meticulousness and skillful hands, artisans gradually carry out the complex lacquer production process to create splendid works of art.
