On July 17, in order to promote the popularization of blockchain technology, expand its applications in life and support talent training, the world's largest blockchain platform Binance launched the "Blockchain for Vietnam" initiative with a commitment to sponsor more than 1 million USD, promoting Vietnam to become a center of innovation in the region.
High blockchain adoption rates for many consecutive years, talented human resources, and open legal approaches are important reasons for this company to commit to expanding long-term investment in Vietnam.
The two-year program (from July 2025 to July 2027) focuses on three strategic pillars: raising awareness and providing in-depth training on blockchain in the community; promoting the application of blockchain in key industries such as agriculture and tourism; and providing scholarships to students with a passion for technology nationwide.
According to Ms. Lynn Hoang - Country Director of the sponsor, the investment "is not only an initial step but also affirms a long-term commitment" in Vietnam's digitalization journey.
Previously, through the charity fund, this unit has carried out many community activities such as emergency support after Typhoon Yagi (September 2024), installing saltwater filters in the Mekong Delta, donating masks, ventilators, PCR testing systems to the frontline against COVID-19 and coordinating the planting of 10,000 trees in Binh Thuan .
Along with its humanitarian efforts, the company also focuses on education, viewing it as the foundation for the long-term development of the blockchain ecosystem. Through Binance Academy, Binance experts have collaborated with more than 60 universities and colleges in 18 provinces and cities across the country to bring blockchain technology to classrooms.
These programs not only popularize knowledge, but also promote the formation of a generation of developers, researchers and young human resources passionate about blockchain technology, thereby contributing to building the Vietnamese blockchain community to become increasingly strong and stable on the global technology map.
