Claudia Schiffer appeared on the Gtech Community pitch last night |
During Brentford's 1-0 win over Aston Villa at Gtech Community Stadium on the evening of August 23, Claudia Schiffer appeared to cheer. Now 54 years old, the German supermodel was voted "the sexiest woman in the world" by FHM magazine in 1995, and throughout her career, she has always been considered one of the leading faces in the fashion industry, once holding the title of the highest-paid model in the world.
Claudia was thrilled to see the team perform and showed her support by wearing a Brentford shirt. She was even more excited when £42m new signing Dango Ouattara scored after just 12 minutes on his debut.
Sitting next to Claudia, Matthew Vaughn kept a composed look as he watched the game. Back in June, it was reported that the British filmmaker was in talks to buy a minority stake in Brentford to support the club. Now, his investment, along with South African businessman Gary Lubner, has been confirmed by the west London club.
Vaughn is an independent filmmaker with many hits such as Kingsman , Kick-Ass and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels . His new investment is considered by Brentford to help strengthen the squad and open up many commercial opportunities.
Vaughn also shared that his journey with Brentford began 25 years ago, when an actor suggested that it was “a great club to invest in”. Since then, he has followed the team’s progress with respect. Later, when an agent mentioned the same thing, Vaughn went to a match and found it an experience both intimate and epic. He eventually invested in Brentford.
