How to link social security account with bank on VNeID

On the morning of August 28, a series of banks announced how to link social security services with bank accounts, for citizens with level 2 VNeID identification.

In its announcement, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) said that this activity aims to continue expanding and promoting the Project on developing population data applications, electronic identification and authentication to serve national digital transformation approved by the Prime Minister. People will not be charged any fees when linking accounts or using the service.

To be able to link your social security account to your bank checking account, you need to have a bank account. Once you have an account, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Log in to the VneID application, select the Social Security service group and select Social Security Account. Enter the Passcode.

Step 2: The system displays banks that allow receiving subsidies from social security policies, select the bank you want to link. Currently, the system supports 18 banks and e-wallets.

Step 3: The user enters the linking information, including the bank payment account number and the ID card number (if any). If the information at the bank is using a 9-digit ID card, the ID card number must be entered.

Click continue, the system will send the request to the receiving department. The confirmation result will be sent back via notification on VNeID.

Some notes when implementing include that the linked account must be a VND account, with the same owner, active and unrestricted. The beneficiary must use the correct identification information (CCCD, personal identification number) to synchronize with the population database. In case of any changes, the bank must be notified promptly to avoid interruption in the money receiving process.

The VNeID application, developed by the National Population Data Center, can now be downloaded from CH Play (Android) or App Store (iOS). When searching, people should pay attention to choosing the correct application with the Government label or developed by a State agency. Do not download the VNeID application via .apk files or unknown sources, because there is a risk of containing malware and fraud.
