Champions League draw: Chelsea honored

At 11pm on August 28, UEFA held the draw for the League Phase, UEFA Champions League season 2025/26.

Chelsea own every continental title.

Main events:

• UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin presented Chelsea representatives with a gift to honor the first team in history to collect all continental titles (Champions League, Europa League and Conference League).

Noteworthy information:

• In the draw, the 36 participating teams will be divided into four seeding pots based on the UEFA coefficient rankings. The reigning Champions League champions (PSG) are placed in Pot 1.
• The draw will begin with Pot 1. A ball containing each team's name will be drawn before the automated software (which has been in use since last season) assigns them eight opponents.
• Each team will play eight matches in the qualifying round, four away and four home. Teams cannot face opponents from the same country and no more than two clubs from the same footballing background will play. This process will be repeated for teams until all the matches have been decided.
• The 2025/26 UEFA Champions League qualifying round fixtures will be announced on August 30.
• According to the schedule, the qualifying round will take place from September 16, 2025 to January 28, 2026. The knockout round to the semi-finals will be held from January 17, 2026 to May 6, 2026.
• The final will take place on 30 May 2026 at Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary.
