A year after leaving England, manager Gareth Southgate has landed an exciting new job in a completely different field.

According to The Sun , Mr. Southgate will become the host of a new BBC show called "One Of A Kind". This is his first role since leaving the England team.

The 54-year-old will interview leaders from across a range of industries on the show. A source said: "The BBC is delighted to have Southgate as its first presenter. It's a real coup."

The source added: "He will interview successful people from a range of backgrounds, moving from sport to inspirational stories. Southgate is a deep person and the producers think he will be great at having deep conversations with interviewees."

The show is expected to be a podcast-style show and Mr Southgate is understood to be paid around £50,000 for hosting it.

Gareth Southgate was appointed England manager in 2016. In 102 matches under the leadership of the "Three Lions", he won 61, drew 24 and lost 17.

The 54-year-old coach has led England to the finals of two consecutive Euros in 2020 and 2024, but lost both to Italy and Spain. In addition, England also reached the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup and the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup.

He left his position as England manager two days after the defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final and was replaced by coach Thomas Tuchel.

In a recent interview, Southgate revealed that he has no plans to return to football in the near future. He shared: "Not at the moment, I'm enjoying my life. I have some business interests, I'm in the process of writing a book. I still do some work with young coaches."
