On September 2, the Ministry of Health issued a quick report on emergency care and medical examination and treatment during the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (A80).
According to the summary report of the participating medical units, emergency and medical examination and treatment work was deployed with a large force, ensuring safety for tens of thousands of participants.
Specifically, the Hanoi Department of Health received 37 emergency cases and 664 treatment cases, including 75 severe/hospital transfer cases.
Military medical staff received 68 emergency cases, 301 cases were treated, and 27 were serious/transferred. Police medical staff recorded 17 emergency cases, 317 cases were treated, including 10 serious/transferred cases.
Hospital E, Bach Mai Hospital, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital… also received a number of emergency cases.
"From 10pm on September 1 to 12pm on September 2, the units received 134 emergency cases and treated 1,315 cases, including 113 serious cases/hospital transfers," said Mr. Ha Anh Duc - Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health.
Among the cases handled were 12 delegates, 5 cases from the service block, 7 cases from the standing block, and 2 civilians.
After receiving the patient, medical staff promptly performed first aid measures and transferred the patient to a medical facility in time.
Since September 1, many people have been present on the streets where the parades passed, including many elderly people and children. The long queues in the harsh weather caused many people with health problems to need support.
To better serve the medical support work, on September 2, a total of 211 medical teams participated, with 1,097 medical staff and 134 ambulances, ensuring timely reception and treatment for people, delegates and groups serving the parade.
