According to a report by the Hanoi Department of Tourism on September 2, during the 4 days of the National Day holiday, Hanoi served more than 2 million visitors, a number 3 times higher than the 2024 holiday. Tourism activities brought in more than 4,500 billion VND in revenue for the capital.
Of which, international visitors are estimated to welcome over 80,000 arrivals, an increase of 35% over the same period in 2024, some leading customer markets include: China, Korea, India, Taiwan, USA, Japan, UK, Australia...
On the occasion of the National Day holiday on September 2 this year, Hanoi is the focus of attention for residents and tourists because of the attractive events celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, especially the parade and marching activities.
Right from the first rehearsals and final rehearsals, the number of visitors from all over Hanoi increased dramatically.
In addition, the exhibition of 80 years of national achievements is also a highlight during the holiday when it welcomed more than 1 million visitors to visit and experience in the first 3 days of opening.
Estimated average room occupancy rate of hotels and tourist apartments is about 83%.
In the central area, 3-5 star hotels all have high booking rates.
On September 1st alone, many hotels booked 100% room capacity such as: Pan Pacific, Novotel Thai Ha, Lacasa Hanoi, Grand Mercue... These are all hotels on the roads where the parade blocks pass by.
During this year's holiday, in addition to familiar destinations such as the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake area, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, and One Pillar Pagoda, new destinations such as the Lotte Mall Tay Ho entertainment complex and Vinhomes Ocean Park also received the attention of tourists.
