Weapons and equipment will be displayed at the Exhibition "Socio-Economic Achievements Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of National Day"

The exhibition "Socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day" with the theme "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" will take place from August 28 to September 5, 2025 at the National Exhibition Center (Truong Sa Street, Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi City).

This is an important political event of the country, organized on the largest scale ever with the participation of 34 provinces, cities and ministries and branches nationwide.

According to the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), as of August 8, 46 units have started construction, an increase of 8 units compared to August 7. It is expected that on August 9, 19 more units will continue to start construction.

At the Vietnam Exhibition Center, units are urgently gathering components to build the rough part, then will go into details and decoration.

The Ministry of National Defense exhibition area is one of the fastest deployed units. The construction supervisor said that it is expected that the entire rough part will be completed before August 15, followed by the installation of light boxes and decorations.

Introducing the exhibition area, the supervisor said that the indoor exhibition area of the Ministry of National Defense has 4 square sides, each side showing historical milestones of the People's Army during the process of construction and development over the past 80 years.

The exterior will have the following content: "Heroic Origin"; "Growing up through bullets and bullets"; "Revolutionary - Regular - Elite - Modern"; "Growing up with the country"; "Interactive" area.

In the "Heroic Origin" area, there will be a model of the Dong Son bronze drum, a model of the Tran Hung Dao forest and the milestone of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, artifacts about the General Uprising to seize power and Uncle Ho reading the Declaration of Independence...

The "Growing up through fire and bullets" area includes models and artifacts related to the Dien Bien Phu Victory, Cu Chi tunnels, Dien Bien Phu in the air campaign, Ho Chi Minh campaign...

The "Revolutionary - Regular - Elite - Modern" area is where some outstanding defense industry products, new generation weapons, and dual-use economic products are displayed. The screen displays and promotes the image and outstanding achievements of the Vietnam People's Army in combat, work, and production.

In the "Growing with the country" area, groups of high-tech products, AI, dual-use economy, missile complex models, weapons, cyber warfare, etc. are displayed.

In addition, the Ministry of National Defense also organizes "Interactive" areas for visitors such as shooting, experiencing the Dien Bien Phu battle in the air using Mapping technology, 3D Hologram fans to experience driving a cabin without glass on the historic Truong Son road...

In addition, in the outdoor area, there is a 24,000m2 exhibition center to display weapons and equipment of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security. In the middle of the center, there will be a simulation of the Hanoi flagpole, divided into 8 areas to display weapons and military equipment of Vietnam through each period...

In addition to the area of the Ministry of National Defense, the exhibition areas of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Television VTV, Voice of Vietnam VOV, Tuyen Quang province... are also being supervised and constructed with the spirit of speeding up progress.

At the inspection of construction progress on August 8, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh requested units to continue to speed up the construction progress. Units that have not started construction yet need to start soon to ensure progress.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested that any problems during the implementation process must be reported immediately for timely resolution, because the common goal is to best organize this important event of the country.

In addition, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh also noted the need to ensure safety and create the best conditions for units and workers in hot and stormy weather conditions, both at indoor and outdoor exhibition booths.

At the same time, security, order, medical, reception, logistics and other activities of the Exhibition must be prepared and plans must be made for implementation in all situations.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested to prepare halls, meeting rooms, and reception halls so that localities and units have a place to meet, introduce, and promote development achievements as well as development orientations with partners to sign cooperation agreements; seek partners and investment opportunities in Vietnam...
