"Independence Star 2025": Recreating heroic history, arousing aspirations for the future

The program is chaired by the Editorial Board of the Communist Magazine and the Ministry of Public Security , in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee. This is an important political and cultural event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2, the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security (CAND) tradition day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection.

Attending the program were Politburo members: Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission; Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh , Permanent Deputy Prime Minister; General Luong Tam Quang, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security.

The event was also attended by Party Central Committee members: Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper; Comrade Hoang Trung Dung, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine; Comrade Pham Tat Thang, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission and Comrade Le Hai Binh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; along with leaders of departments, ministries, branches and Hanoi city.

Elaborately and grandly staged, the program is a smooth combination of art forms with documentary films and modern technology. Throughout 3 chapters, “Sao Doc Lap 2025” took the audience through the glorious historical journeys of the nation.

Chapter 1 with the theme “Under the majestic flag, the flying yellow star” strongly affirmed the value of independence and freedom. The artistic performances recreated the boiling atmosphere of the historic autumn of 1945, the brilliant milestones such as the Dien Bien Phu Victory in 1954 and the Great Spring Victory in 1975. In that journey, the role of the People's Public Security force, born in the revolutionary climax, was portrayed as a sharp "sword" protecting the Party, the State and the people.

Continuing the emotional flow, chapter 2 “The Journey of Peace Building” demonstrates the nation’s efforts to overcome difficulties in the renovation process. The program especially acknowledges and pays tribute to the silent peacetime sacrifices of the forces on the front lines, including the soldiers of the People’s Public Security, the People’s Army and doctors.

Chapter 3, entitled “Aspiration for a Prosperous Vietnam,” conveyed the message of the reform process taking place at a “stormy” pace. The special art performances spread the belief and aspiration for a strong Vietnam with a high position in the international arena.

Throughout the program, the heroic memories of the nation are not only a source of pride but also a great motivation. This is an affirmation of the strong will of the entire Party, people and army to rise up, towards the goal of building an independent, free, happy and prosperous Vietnam. In a solemn atmosphere, the Party and State leaders respectfully presented meaningful gifts, expressing gratitude to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and those who contributed to the revolution.
