Through the practice of training new soldiers, Senior Lieutenant Bui Van Khanh, Platoon Leader of Platoon 3, Company 1, Battalion 7, Regiment 3 (Division 9, Corps 34) has researched and created a device to test balance, anti-glare, and calculate the firing time of the STV 380 gun. This device helps unit officers easily train soldiers to aim the STV 380 gun, at the same time, the shooter can actively calculate the time to finish the shot with an electronic clock, close to the test topic.
According to Senior Lieutenant Bui Van Khanh: "In reality, during the training process, officers have a hard time checking the skills and aiming lines of the STV 380 gun of new soldiers. The inspection glasses are small, and in hot outdoor conditions, there is a certain distance from the eyes to the inspection glasses, so the inspectors have to squint and cover one eye, so they often get tired eyes and blurred vision, affecting the quality of the inspection. Therefore, I have improved the inspection glasses by making them larger, adding a lens to reduce glare, so the inspectors do not need to squint one eye but can still easily observe the soldiers' aiming lines."

The equipment for testing balance, anti-glare, and timing the STV 380 gun consists of 4 main parts: Inspection glass, balance bubble, anti-glare, and electronic clock. The improved product is compact, made from easy-to-find materials, highly durable, easy to disassemble, and flexibly attached to the STV 380 gun; the cost of making each product is only about 60,000 VND. At the unit of Senior Lieutenant Bui Van Khanh, this equipment has been used effectively, contributing to improving the performance in testing the STV 380 gun.
Recently, the equipment for testing balance, anti-glare, and timing of the STV 380 gun has been recognized, highly appreciated, and encouraged to be replicated by the 34th Corps' Council for Acceptance of Innovations and Technical Improvements to improve training quality and combat readiness.
