Ready to organize the High School Graduation Exam in 2025

There are 3 days left until the 2025 High School Graduation Exam. This is the first year that candidates will take the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program. Phu Yen Newspaper reporter had an interview with Director of the Department of Education and Training Tran Khac Le, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam of the province about the preparation for organizing the exam in the province.

Mr. Tran Khac Le said: The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26-27. Phu Yen has 10,913 candidates registered for the exam, an increase of 240 candidates compared to 2024. Of which, the number of candidates taking the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program is 10,635 candidates and 278 independent candidates taking the exam according to the 2006 General Education Program. The whole province has arranged 28 exam sites with 474 official exam rooms (an increase of 16 exam rooms compared to 2024) and 106 backup exam rooms located at secondary and high schools in districts, towns and cities.

* The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place during the implementation of a two-level government and provincial mergers. So how will the preparation for the exam be carried out, sir?

- The organization of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam takes place in the context that the whole country is implementing a two-level government, as well as officially merging provinces from July 1, 2025. The exam will be completed on June 27, 2025. However, the marking stage will continue to be implemented after July 1. Therefore, the consolidation of the Exam Steering Committee and the Exam Council will be carried out according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training .

To prepare for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, the Department of Education and Training coordinated with relevant departments, branches and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to develop plans and solutions to organize the exam in accordance with the exam regulations and exam guidance documents of the Ministry of Education and Training. Preparations for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam in the province have been actively, proactively and effectively implemented. The Department of Education and Training has summoned 2,263 officials and teachers to perform duties at the exam.

The Department of Education and Training also fully prepared equipment and stationery for the exam such as: exam papers, scratch paper, multiple-choice answer sheets packed and sealed in each exam room, exam receipts, exam bags, sealing papers, minutes, and forms for exam supervision. The Department also prepared an area for printing and copying exam papers, equipment, high-speed photocopiers for printing and copying exam papers, backup generators; arranged vehicles to transport and hand over exam papers and papers. The training on professional inspection and examination of the exam was completed on the morning of June 17, 2025; the printing and dismantling of minutes, forms, exam cards, exam room photo boards, candidate lists, exam papers, scratch paper, various types of badges and other related documents for the exam sites.

Up to now, the Department of Education and Training has completed all preparations and is ready to serve the exam, ensuring that the exam takes place safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations.

In addition, the Department of Education and Training has also coordinated with the Provincial Police to establish inspection teams for the facilities of the schools selected to host the examination sites and to check the number of examination rooms with enough tables and chairs for 24 candidates, each candidate has a separate table, ensuring the prescribed distance, cooling fans, lighting; the examination site's office, the examination site leader's duty room, the cabinet for storing exam papers and test papers with separate locks, with cameras to monitor the examination paper and test paper storage room to ensure continuous operation 24/24 hours, the security duty room, the medical room, the fence surrounding the school ensuring compliance with regulations, computers connected to the internet, landline phones, photocopiers, fire prevention and fighting work, etc.

* How does the provincial high school graduation exam steering committee carry out the printing, transportation, delivery, and preservation of exam questions and papers?

- The planning and organization of printing and copying of exam papers are carried out in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training, ensuring safety and confidentiality. The transportation of exam papers and test papers is specifically planned. All stages are closely coordinated, especially with the police force.

Up to now, the Department of Education and Training has completed all preparations and is ready to serve the exam, ensuring that the exam takes place safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations.
