Playground of young aspirations and talents

VHO - On the evening of June 9, the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Youth Badminton Championship - Donex Cup took place solemnly and excitingly at the Gymnasium of Vietnam Maritime University (Hai Phong City).

The tournament attracted the participation of many delegations across the country.

The dynamic port city continues to affirm its role as an ideal destination for major sporting events, a place where fiery competitive spirit and aspirations to reach new heights converge.

The tournament is organized by the Vietnam Sports Department, the Vietnam Badminton Federation in collaboration with DONEXgroup Joint Stock Company and the Department of Culture and Sports of Hai Phong City. This is a top playground for talented young players nationwide, contributing to discovering and nurturing the next generation of badminton players in the country.

This year, the tournament gathered nearly 200 excellent athletes from 22 provinces, cities and sectors, competing in two main events: men's and women's mixed teams and individuals (men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles). Immediately after the opening ceremony, the qualifying matches officially began, opening a week of exciting, competitive and emotional sports.

The organizing committee presented souvenir flags to the participating delegations.

Not only a place to compete in techniques and demonstrate competitive spirit, the National Youth Badminton Championship is also an important stepping stone to help athletes accumulate professional competition experience, practice skills and affirm their position in the Vietnamese badminton community.

Some promising faces who are expected to shine at this tournament include: Bui Bich Phuong ( Hanoi ); the trio Hoang Anh Minh, Nguyen Tat Duy Loi, Le Duc Cuong (Lam Dong); Nguyen Thuy Kim Hang, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Ho Thi Truc Ngan (Ho Chi Minh City). These young players promise to bring the audience exciting, dramatic and emotional matches.
