As Lao Cai Newspaper reported, at around 10:00 a.m. on June 28, Mr. Ly AP waded across Muong Hoa stream at the foot of Su Pan 2 hydroelectric dam (Ban Ho commune) to go bird trapping, unfortunately slipped and fell and drowned.
After receiving the information, the People's Committee of Sa Pa town directed relevant authorities and the People's Committee of Ban Ho commune to mobilize forces: police, military to coordinate with local people and family to search for Mr. P.
At 7:20 this morning (June 29), search forces found the body of Mr. Ly AP on Muong Hoa stream, about 1 km from the location where the victim fell.
Currently, the authorities are completing the procedures according to regulations and handing over the victim's body to the family for burial according to custom.
