The information was confirmed by Ultima Hora newspaper, showing that Ronaldo is enjoying a summer holiday with his family on the Spanish island of Majorca, on the luxury yacht Azimut Grande worth £5.5 million. Photos show him appearing in some high-end locations such as Illetes and the port of Andratx but completely avoiding the media.

During his lifetime, Jota considered Ronaldo his biggest idol.

In the face of criticism, some leading sports journalists in Portugal spoke out. Antonio Ribeiro Cristovao expressed disappointment: "Ronaldo is the captain.
