On the morning of July 11, the Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges and the family of the late Professor Tran Hong Quan held a launching ceremony for the memoir "As a boat, must set sail" by the late Professor. Professor Nguyen Thien Nhan, former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and representatives of the Ministryof Education and Training attended the launching ceremony.

The memoir "Once a boat, it must set sail" written by the late Professor Dr. Tran Hong Quan (former Minister of Education and Training, Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges) has just been published by the Writers' Association Publishing House.

The 477-page memoir includes 3 parts and 1 appendix with some photos of Professor Tran Hong Quan. The memoir gives readers more information about his thoughts and life experiences from his childhood in his hometown to his concerns and innovative thinking for the education career, as well as his opinions on educational innovation. Not only expressed through his writings, the memoir also expresses Professor Tran Hong Quan's thoughts through profound poems.

The memoir also expressed the late Professor's gratitude to generations of leaders, colleagues, and students who created conditions for the development of Vietnamese education. From there, the will to "dare to think, dare to do" and the dedication to education of the late Professor and Vietnamese teachers was nurtured.

According to the family of the late Professor Tran Hong Quan, the memoir was born from the advice of the late Professor's friends. Although they advised him to ask another author to write the memoir, Professor Tran Hong Quan was still determined to complete it himself.
