Speaking at the meeting on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the founding of Hong Bang District, Comrade Dang Ba Cuong, Secretary of the Hong Bang District Party Committee, reviewed the formation and development of the district. Over the past 64 years of construction and development, the Party Committee, government and people of Hong Bang District have always been united, strived, promoted the pioneering spirit, and set an example in Party building and government building, promoted patriotic emulation movements, effectively mobilized all resources and intelligence to serve socio -economic development, and built the district stronger and stronger, achieving many important and comprehensive results.
Especially in the last 5 years, the district's economy has developed remarkably. The average annual budget revenue growth rate reached 17.55%; the average service economic growth rate reached 18%/year. Urban beautification work has many breakthroughs, urban space continues to expand. Social security policies are implemented with many creative and effective solutions; political security, social order and safety are maintained, contributing to improving people's lives and the appearance of the city's central urban area.
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Dang Ba Cuong, Secretary of the Hong Bang District Party Committee, emphasized: After more than six decades of accompanying the development of Hai Phong city, Hong Bang district has successfully completed the historical mission of a central administrative unit, making an important contribution to the cause of building and developing an industrial, modern and civilized port city.
Faced with the requirements of national innovation and development, the arrangement and streamlining of the political system is an inevitable task. In that process, Hong Bang district ends its historical journey to open a new turning point in the city's development journey. The good traditional values and great contributions of the district will continue to be inherited, promoted and spread in the new period - the era of deep integration, prosperity and sustainable development.
Implementing the arrangement of administrative units, Hong Bang district arranged 10 ward administrative units to establish 02 new wards: Hong Bang ward on the basis of merging the original natural area and population size of 6 wards of Hong Bang district (Hoang Van Thu, Minh Khai, Phan Boi Chau, Thuong Ly, So Dau, Hung Vuong) and part of Gia Vien ward of Ngo Quyen district; after the arrangement, Hong Bang ward has a natural area of 12.11 km2, population size of 113,200 people.
Hong An Ward is based on the natural area and population size of 4 wards of Hong Bang District: Quan Toan, An Hong, An Hung and Dai Ban and part of Le Thien Ward and Tan Tien Ward of An Duong District; after the arrangement, Hong An Ward has a natural area of 27.64 km2 and a population of 64,771 people./.
