Vietnam - Korea relations are developing more comprehensively and substantially.

At the reception, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang and the Special Envoy of the Korean Foreign Minister both expressed their delight at the increasingly comprehensive and substantive development of the Vietnam-Korea relationship in all fields, especially after the two countries upgraded their relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in December 2022 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

On the basis of the good relationship, the two sides exchanged measures to further consolidate and strengthen bilateral cooperation, and in the immediate future, carefully prepared for high-level delegation exchanges in the coming time.

The special envoy of the Korean Foreign Minister said that Korea is actively preparing to host the 2030 World Expo in Busan city, expressing his hope that Vietnam will consider supporting Korea in hosting this event.

Having hosted many large-scale international events such as the 2002 World Cup, the 2002 Asian Games, the 2005 APEC Summit, the 2014 and 2019 ASEAN-Korea Special Summits, Busan is now ready to compete for the right to host the 2030 World Expo. With the main theme "Changing our world, towards a better future", by hosting the World Expo, Busan will become a city that inspires the world to put aside the past of war and build a better future. At the same time, the World Expo is also an opportunity for Busan to realize its hope of bringing an economic Olympics as well as a cultural Olympics to the world.
