Similar to the famous Vietnamese pho, vegetarian pho is a combination of ingredients, carefully selected and simmered to bring out the sweetness of vegetables such as radishes and mushrooms, creating an unforgettable, light flavor.

Tofu with tomato sauce is a familiar dish on the dinner table of Vietnamese families. Tofu is cut into squares, then fried in hot oil until the outer layer is crispy and the inside is soft and moist. After being chopped, tomatoes are stir-fried in oil until soft, seasoned with spices and finally the fried tofu is added, stir-fried well and turned off the stove. This dish, which is not too complicated to prepare, conquers diners with the cool aroma of tofu made from soybeans combined with the sour taste of tomatoes and spices. Tofu with tomato sauce is extremely suitable when eaten with hot rice.

Topping the list is Lebanese hummus, a spread made from mashed chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic. Next is Japan’s atsuage, a deep-fried tofu. Rounding out the top three is mayak gimbap, a Korean seaweed rice roll.

Vietnamese cuisine is increasingly conquering international diners. From vegetarian to savory and sweet dishes, from luxury to street and rustic, each dish is a story that is not simply a combination of ingredients but also the cultural and historical depth of a land.
