Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên25/06/2023

Speaking to Thanh Nien on the afternoon of June 25, Mr. Nguyen Phuong Dong, Director of the Radio Frequency Center of Region 1, Radio Frequency Department, said that after receiving information from people reflecting the phenomenon of interference, paralyzing smart locks of cars and motorbikes, appearing in many places in Hanoi's inner city, on June 24-25, this unit sent experts to verify.

As a result, in front of the Cellphone S store on Lac Long Quan Street (Tay Ho District), experts discovered that the LED electronic advertising board of this unit had radiation on the frequency of 433.845 MHz, causing interference on the frequency band for smart lock devices. Center I handled the situation and, at the request of the management agency, this store stopped the operation of the interfering advertising board.

At Thu Cuc General Hospital, 286 Thuy Khe (Tay Ho District), a rolling door box of a neighboring store continuously emitted a signal on the frequency of 433.970 MHz, causing interference on the frequency band for smart lock devices. Center I requested the store to stop operating the interference device.

After stopping the above devices, the smart locks in these areas worked normally.

In the Bui Thi Xuan street area, behind the Central Eye Hospital (Hai Ba Trung District) and the parking lot on Quang Trung street intersection with Trang Thi (Hoan Kiem District), the interference handling team did not detect any interference signals on the frequency band for remote control devices.

Mr. Dong said: "The center will continue to monitor and control in the coming time. Particularly in the Trang Thi area, people reported that there was a phenomenon affecting smart locks a few months ago, but now it is no longer there."

According to Mr. Dong, rolling doors, LED electronic boards, smart locks, etc. often share the same frequency band. When people buy, sell, and use devices with certificates of conformity and compliance, they will be assured of quality. However, if they buy smuggled goods, floating on the market, with poor radiation quality, when continuously broadcasting, they can cause interference, affecting remote control devices around these areas within a radius of about 200 m.

Today, June 25, the Radio Frequency Department has set up a hotline number 0862.92.92.92 to receive feedback from organizations and individuals when smart car and motorbike locking devices and other cases are affected by radio interference.

Previously, according to Thanh Nien 's report on June 22, people in Dong Tam Ward (Hai Ba Trung District) discovered that in recent days, a series of motorbikes and cars using smart locks could not start when stopped in Vong Street. Families in this area have filed a complaint with the authorities, requesting support and inspection.

From information in Thanh Nien Newspaper, experts from the Regional Radio Frequency Center 1 have discovered and handled the source of interference from a radio remote control device to turn on and off the automatic water pump at a family on Vong Street.
