Special stamp set issued to celebrate 80th anniversary of Vietnam National Day

The stamp set designed by artist Nguyen Du is available nationwide at provincial, municipal, central post offices and transaction post offices from August 26, 2025 to June 30, 2027.

On August 26, in Hanoi, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Ministry of Science and Technology, in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Education Commission and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, held a special issuance ceremony of the postage stamp set "Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). The stamp set includes 01 stamp and 01 block.

The stamp depicts the image of President Ho Chi Minh, the founder of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, depicted in a modern graphic art style, both solemn and familiar.

Uncle Ho's face appears gentle, his eyes shining with faith and aspiration for independence and freedom for the nation. Simple but delicate lines, combined with the dominant red-yellow colors of the National Flag, create a strong highlight, honoring the great leader, the immortal symbol of patriotism, self-reliance and aspiration for peace of the Vietnamese people.

The block model shows the National Emblem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the map of the Fatherland with the sacred and complete sovereignty of the sea and islands of the national territory. The block background uses the image of a bronze drum, a symbol of a thousand years of civilization, reminding us of the historical roots and depth of national culture.

The stamp set was designed by artist Nguyen Du (Vietnam Post Corporation); supplied nationwide at provincial, municipal, central post offices, and transaction post offices from August 26, 2025 to June 30, 2027.

The postage stamp set "Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)" not only represents the important historical milestone, the day President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, but also affirms the sovereignty, freedom, independence, solidarity, indomitable will and pride of the Vietnamese people over the past 80 years.
