Review the heroic history of the nation through special publications of Nhan Dan newspaper

On this occasion, Nhan Dan newspaper launched a special issue on September 2 with a special supplement and two special pages celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day and the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces' traditional day, comprehensively reflecting the nation's 80-year journey of building and defending the country.

The special issue 2/9 is structured into 5 main parts, developed along the historical - present - future axis, reflecting the nation's journey of building and defending the country, affirming the immortal historical value of the August Revolution and National Day 2/9, summarizing the achievements of 80 years of nation building, and affirming Vietnam's aspiration to reach the new era. The publication is a harmonious combination of political, historical and humanistic content, combining cultural - artistic materials with valuable documentary images, creating a publication that is both valuable in history and inspirational.

The special supplement 2/9 consists of two parts: The first part recreates the image of President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square and prints the entire Declaration of Independence - the immortal document affirming the independence and freedom of the Vietnamese people. The second part introduces 80 outstanding events in the past 80 years in the fields of politics , economics, society, foreign affairs, culture...

Nhan Dan Newspaper will distribute the special supplement 2/9 for free to readers at Nhan Dan Newspaper's editorial office at 71 Hang Trong, Hanoi from the afternoon of August 29 to September 3, 2025, the Central representative office at 2 Tran Quy Cap, Da Nang City, and the Southern representative office at 40 Pham Ngoc Thach, Ho Chi Minh City. Distribution time is from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. from August 30 to September 3, 2025.

In addition to the two digital physical publications, Nhan Dan Newspaper also launched two special pages at the addresses quockhanh.nhandan.vn and congan.nhandan.vn. Previously, the People's Public Security page "went live" from August 19, 2025, on the traditional day of the force considered the "sword and shield" protecting the Fatherland. The page includes sections on Glorious Tradition, Police Soldiers, New Missions, New Challenges, Force Building, etc. The page includes many vivid articles about the examples, brave spirit, and sacrifices of police soldiers, who do not fear difficulties and hardships to protect the peace of the people.

* On the afternoon of August 29, at the headquarters of Nhan Dan newspaper, a ceremony was held to present the famous song "As if Uncle Ho were here on the day of great victory" from musician Pham Tuyen to Nhan Dan newspaper.

“As if Uncle Ho were here on the day of great victory” is a song composed by musician Pham Tuyen on the night of April 28, 1975, under the yellow light at the top of the stairs of the Khuong Thuong apartment complex, with only a pencil and a small piece of paper. The song was broadcast at 5:05 p.m. on April 30, 1975 on the Voice of Vietnam radio, right after the historical news.

On May 2, 1975, Nhan Dan newspaper printed the entire song, opening a journey from the newspaper pages to life: into schoolyards, homes, celebrations; crossing borders to Italy, Germany, the Soviet Union, Japan, Czechoslovakia... to tell the story of Vietnam in a language that everyone understands - the joy of independence and reunion.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh said that the song “As if Uncle Ho were here on the great victory day” has become a triumphant song of the spirit of great solidarity and the desire for independence. With its majestic melody and lyrics “Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh”, the song is not only a symbol of national pride but also arouses patriotism, inspiring generations with the indomitable will and the values of Independence - Freedom - Happiness.

While carrying out programs to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Nhan Dan newspaper was very surprised to receive a request to present the song "As if Uncle Ho were here on the day of great victory" from musician Pham Tuyen and his family.

Among the great songs, this is the one that is played at any event. At the art program "Fatherland in the Heart" organized by Nhan Dan newspaper, when the program ended, more than 50,000 audiences at My Dinh Stadium sang this song together. Not only at My Dinh Stadium, but also on social platforms, many audiences participated very naturally.
