"Smile for you" comes to disadvantaged children in Hoa An commune

(CT) - On July 11, at Kinh Cung Town Primary School (Hoa An Commune), Can Tho City Youth Union in coordination with Can Tho City Student Support Center and Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy Youth Union organized the program "Smile for Children".

Mr. Tran Viet Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Youth Union, gave gifts to children in Hoa An commune.

The program includes many activities such as free dental health consultation and examination and giving 100 gifts (each gift includes 1 backpack, 10 notebooks, 1 tube of toothpaste and school supplies) to ethnic minority and disadvantaged students at Kinh Cung Town Primary School and Kim Dong Primary School (Hoa An Commune). In addition, the students also participate in many fun activities, play folk games and listen to advice on safe oral hygiene.

In the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, from now until the end of August 2025, the city's youth will organize 6 "Smiles for Children" programs at disadvantaged schools, with many activities to care for children in difficult circumstances.

In addition, the Youth Union also organizes summer activities with many useful activities for children. Notably, it organizes free English classes, disseminates legal knowledge related to children; trains in safe social network usage skills, and mobilizes social resources to care for and support disadvantaged students to go to school in the new school year 2025-2026.

For universities and colleges, 100% of Youth Union organizations established teams "For beloved juniors", implementing many projects and tasks to support children during the summer.
