“We tell little stories about Vietnamese and try to help people write a little better” – that is the simple introduction to Ngay Ngay Viet Chu (NNVC) – a Vietnamese language page launched in 2017. To date, this page has reached more than 56,000 followers, receiving thousands of positive feedbacks from readers.
Everything from management to content creation comes from the knowledge and perseverance of the founder - Ms. Nguyen Thuy Dung (born in 1990), who is also the author of many books about writing that have been reprinted many times: Frequently used borrowed words (Kim Dong Publishing House, 2019), Old words still have a bit left (The Gioi Publishing House, 2021), Today must be expanded (The Gioi Publishing House, 2021), Ancient beautiful words (Thanh Nien Publishing House, 2023).
Continuing the journey of writing to share, a new book by NNVC has been released - "Every little effort, the pen blooms" (Literature Publishing House, 2025) shares stories of words, writing lessons collected and summarized by author Nguyen Thuy Dung from the journey of perseverance "writing every day".
The book is divided into 4 main parts: Learning to use words; Learning to make sentences; Learning rhetoric; Learning to present text.
In addition to the four main content sections, the book also includes sections on introducing and applying idioms/proverbs, discussing some skills that writers should have, and providing necessary application exercises to help readers both "practice their writing" and be able to retrieve what they have learned/read.
This publication is suitable for writers, translators, editors… who want to hone their writing skills; people looking for inspiration for teaching and writing instruction; or simply people who love Vietnamese and want to improve and learn more about words.
Author Nguyen Thuy Dung shared: “Writing, from a certain perspective, is like waiting for a flower to bloom. With enough days and months, enough sun and rain, the flower will bloom. If you write enough, you will write well. If right now, you feel that your writing is not very good, then give yourself a little more time! Give yourself time to learn to write, to write, to edit, to write again. I believe that once we accumulate enough quantity, there will definitely be a change in quality.”
Hopefully, “With every little effort, the pen will blossom” will add a source of motivation for writers, until one day, their pens will blossom - the words they cherish are spread on a well-written page and are well received. So that when you read it, you have to admit that it is the writer’s personal effort.
