In recent years, implementing the policy of building schools that meet national standards, the Provincial People's Committee submitted to the Provincial People's Council a resolution on the socio-economic development plan, including the target of building schools that meet national standards.
The Department of Education and Training also issues plans and documents to guide, inspect, review, and urge the work ofeducational accreditation and building schools that meet national standards.

Based on the advice of the Department of Education and Training, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province has prioritized resources and allocated funds to repair and construct construction items at schools, ensuring compliance with facility standards.
In the period of 2021 - 2025, the whole industry will invest in building nearly 1,600 new classrooms, more than 200 principal offices, nearly 430 department rooms, nearly 540 functional rooms, more than 150 official residences for teachers and staff, along with a system of schoolyards, fences, etc.
Resources allocated to localities to carry out investment in building national standard schools are 2,200 billion VND. On that basis, many localities have made efforts to invest in facilities and build schools that meet national standards.
As of mid-June 2025, Quang Tri province had 234/365 schools meeting national standards; reaching a rate of 64.11%. Of which, 107 preschools met national standards, 38 primary schools, 50 primary and secondary schools, and 15 high schools.

Along with building schools that meet national standards, the Department of Education and Training directs the Departments of Education and Training and educational institutions to focus on all solutions and measures to improve the quality of education, linking the quality of education of each unit with the responsibility and level of task completion of the head.
At the conference, representatives of localities and the Department of Education and Training raised some difficulties in building schools that meet national standards. In particular, Huong Hoa and Dakrong districts, although located in mountainous areas, have prioritized resources to build national standard schools and achieved encouraging results.
