Specific plan, detailed enrollment

From the 2025-2026 school year, Phan Thanh 1 Primary School (Tinh My village, Hong Thai commune, Lam Dong province) will implement a program to organize Vietnamese language classes to prepare first graders, especially ethnic minority children.

This initiative is based on the Project "Enhancing Vietnamese language preparation for preschool children and primary school students in ethnic minority areas in the period 2016-2020, orientation to 2025".

To achieve the above goal, Phan Thanh 1 Primary School has developed a specific and scientific action plan, targeting children born in 2019, preparing to enter grade 1 in the 2025-2026 school year.

The free course lasts one month, from June 30 to July 25, 2025, with one session per day, from Monday to Friday every week, ensuring that students absorb knowledge effectively without being overloaded.

Ms. Thanh Thi Ngoc An, Principal of Phan Thanh 1 Primary School, said that the school creates favorable conditions for parents to submit their application for admission. The program not only teaches reading and writing but also helps children build confidence, overcome language barriers, and communicate naturally in Vietnamese.

The school improves facilities, adds appropriate teaching aids, toys and equipment.

This is not only a purely professional activity but also a humanitarian mission, aiming to eliminate language barriers, one of the biggest challenges for ethnic minority students when entering general education .

“Therefore, the school has called for the attention and close cooperation from parents, to bring their children to school on time, participate in all classes, and create the most solid start for them,” said Ms. An.

The school’s goal is to help students become bold and confident in communicating in Vietnamese, preparing them with the best language conditions to be ready to enter primary school. Therefore, this will contribute to improving the quality of comprehensive education and, more importantly, preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic minorities.

Creative methods, dedicated team

According to Ms. An, the highlight of the program lies not only in its scale and humanity, but also in its carefully researched teaching methods. Instead of dry class hours, the school aims to build a lively learning environment where Vietnamese is acquired naturally through fun and daily activities. Special attention is paid to Vietnamese listening and speaking activities.

The Vietnamese language preparation program for ethnic minority grade 1 students of Phan Thanh 1 Primary School not only demonstrates the responsibility of the education sector in implementing the policies of the Party and State, but also reflects the dedication and vision of the local education team.

“With concrete and practical actions, the school and teachers are together lighting the fire of knowledge, removing language barriers, and most importantly, opening a wider door to the future for the young buds of ethnic minorities, contributing to building an equal and developed learning society,” said Ms. An.

Ms. Le Kim Khanh - homeroom teacher of class 1A, shared that all teachers always want every day at school to be a happy day for the children, helping them love learning, be bold and confident in using Vietnamese not only with teachers and friends but also in family life.

Accordingly, teachers are encouraged to proactively choose topics and develop weekly and daily teaching plans that are appropriate to the reality of the classroom. The learning environment will be decorated and arranged to serve educational goals, enhancing exchange activities, experiences, and collective activities.

Games aimed at developing language, reading sessions, tours and picnics will be held regularly to enrich children's vocabulary and enhance their ability to communicate in Vietnamese.

“To ensure teaching quality, each class will have two teachers taking turns teaching throughout the 4 weeks of the course, ensuring the best monitoring and care for each student,” said Ms. Khanh.
