Comrades: Tran Anh Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dr. Ha Phuc Mich, Chairman of the Vietnam Organic Agriculture Association co-chaired the meeting. Also attending were leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches.
The 8th Asian Organic Conference is scheduled to take place from September 16 to 19, 2025 at Hoang Son Hotel, Hoa Lu Ward, Ninh Binh Province. It is expected that there will be about 170 international delegates, including experts, scientists , and managers from organizations such as IFOAM Organics Asia, FAO, ADDA, Naturland, etc., along with more than 200 domestic delegates. On the sidelines of the conference, the Red River Delta - Ninh Binh 2025 Industry and Trade Fair will take place with more than 200 booths, introducing, displaying, and demonstrating traditional handicraft products, organic products, OCOP products, etc.
The event is a forum for exchanging, learning, sharing experiences and providing in-depth training on organic agriculture; at the same time, it is an opportunity to promote the potential and strengths of tourism and organic agriculture of Ninh Binh province in particular and Vietnam in general to international friends.
To prepare for this important international event, the Provincial People's Committee has issued a plan and assigned specific tasks to relevant departments, branches and units. These include: supporting visa and entry procedures for international guests; developing a program to visit typical organic agricultural production models in the area; selecting a contractor to organize the fair, a unit providing accommodation and catering services for delegates; implementing communication work; unifying the content, program and presentations at the conference.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Dung agreed on the time, location, content of the program and the composition of delegates attending the conference. He emphasized the importance of propaganda work, requesting that the relevant agencies step up communication before, during and after the event to spread the meaning of the conference. At the same time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments and branches to seriously implement assigned tasks; in the process of implementation, if any difficulties or problems arise, they must promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee for resolution. He also requested that the Vietnam Organic Agriculture Association strengthen close coordination with the province to ensure that all preparations are carried out carefully, contributing to the successful organization of the conference. The event will contribute to enhancing the position of Vietnamese organic agriculture, while promoting the image and potential of Ninh Binh to international friends.
IFOAM Asia is a branch of IFOAM - Organics International (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements), established in 2012, headquartered in Seoul, Korea. This organization works to develop and maintain sustainable organic agriculture in Asia, focusing on soil health, ecosystems, people and animals. Currently, IFOAM Asia has more than 270 members in 22 countries.
