On July 17, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) held a live and online conference with 34 provinces and cities nationwide to review the work of the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.

The conference was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Chairing at the bridge point of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee was Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
In the first 6 months of the year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism directed all areas of work decisively, promptly and comprehensively; grasped the situation and practical requirements to propose appropriate solutions and effective policy responses. Tourism grew impressively, continuing to be a bright spot in contributing to the country's socio-economic development with the total number of international visitors in the first 6 months of 2025 reaching more than 10.6 million, an increase of 20.7% over the same period. Total revenue from tourists in the first 6 months of the year is estimated at about 518,000 billion VND. Activities to preserve and promote cultural heritage were effectively implemented; press, communication and publishing work had many positive changes...
In the last 6 months of the year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism continues to implement tasks of developing science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, administrative reform and Project 06. Focus on directing and organizing well cultural and artistic events, activities, entertainment programs with positive content, strongly spreading traditional values and patriotism, aspirations for development and national unity, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.
Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that in the coming time, the Ministry will guide leading departments for a common mission of developing the country in the new era. Focus on communicating policies, raising awareness, creating consensus among the people; fighting against erroneous and hostile arguments. Organize cultural and sports activities to stimulate tourism; spread the good values of traditional art forms. Promote new and creative ways of doing things; apply science and technology to create attractive cultural products.
