Ha Tinh bus company runs at full capacity on September 2nd, Hanoi and Da Nang routes are full

(Baohatinh.vn) - The September 2nd holiday this year lasts 4 days, so it is predicted that people's travel demand will increase, especially on long routes. Records at Ha Tinh Bus Station show that many routes are starting to "sell out".

According to the Ha Tinh Passenger Station Management Board, there are currently 167 vehicles belonging to 34 transport companies operating through the station, with an average of 90-100 vehicles departing each day.

On the occasion of the September 2nd holiday, the number of departures is expected to increase by about 15% to meet passenger demand. The most crowded routes are Hanoi , Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Da Nang, Thai Nguyen... In particular, the Ha Tinh - Hanoi route recorded a sudden increase in the number of passengers, leading to a shortage of early tickets.

Ha Tinh bus station currently has 167 vehicles belonging to 34 transport enterprises in operation.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - representative of Van Minh Company Limited - the operator of the Ha Tinh - Hanoi route said: "The company has 17 buses running this route, including 6 VIP buses. Tickets for the peak days of August 29 and September 2 are sold out, and there are very few seats left on the remaining days. The company always keeps ticket prices stable even during peak holidays. We encourage passengers to book tickets early through online channels to proactively schedule and get the desired seats."

Customers book tickets online more than buy tickets at the station.

According to representatives of some bus companies running the Hanoi - Ha Tinh route (and vice versa), there are many people in Ha Tinh living, studying and working in Hanoi as well as the northern provinces. Due to the short distance, during long holidays, their need to return home is often very high.

Van Minh Company Limited has 17 vehicles running the Ha Tinh - Hanoi route, including 6 VIP vehicles.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa - owner of Phu Quy bus company (specializing in Ha Tinh - Hanoi route) shared: "To meet the increased travel demand on September 2, the bus company will operate 10 buses, 4 more than usual. We have also opened early ticket sales so that customers can proactively arrange their schedules."

Ms. Hoa added that the bus company's ticket prices are still the same as listed by the authorities. Specifically: 40-seat regular buses cost 250,000 VND/trip; 32-seat buses cost 280,000 VND/trip; 20-seat buses cost 400,000 VND/trip. In addition, the bus company has proactively arranged enough drivers and service staff, and strictly complied with regulations on working hours, ensuring safety for passengers.

According to a representative of Son My bus company (Ha Tinh - Hanoi route), since the beginning of August, passengers have contacted to book bus tickets for the September 2 holiday. Mr. Hoang Lien Son - owner of Son My bus company said: "Customer demand for booking tickets is increasing every day and is expected to increase by about 30% compared to normal days. To meet the increased demand during the holiday, we have developed a plan to increase trips, maintain buses, and ensure drivers and staff to serve during peak days."

Bus tickets are publicly listed, ensuring no price increases during holidays.

Not only the bus companies but also the people have made plans for the 4-day holiday. Many families have proactively "hunted for tickets" very early, accepting unsatisfactory seats just to ensure they can travel on schedule.

Ms. Nguyen Minh Trang (Thanh Sen ward) shared: "This year's September 2nd holiday is very special because it coincides with a large-scale military parade in Hanoi. My whole family is very excited and has planned early to go to the capital. Although we contacted to book bus tickets quite early, the shortage of tickets still occurred, the front seats, the good locations were no longer available. My family had to accept to get tickets in the last rows to make sure there was a place to go."

Not only the Ha Tinh - Hanoi route, the Ha Tinh - Da Nang route is also recording the situation of "sold out" tickets early. Mr. Nguyen Huy Khanh - representative of Khanh Truyen bus company (specializing in the route from Ha Tinh to Hue, Da Nang) said: "Currently, our bus company has 12 buses serving passengers with high-class buses from 40 beds, 32 beds or 20 VIP rooms. On the occasion of September 2 this year, customers booked tickets quite early and in large numbers. Up to now, the tickets for the August 28 and 29 afternoons from Da Nang to Ha Tinh and the September 2 and 3rd from Ha Tinh to Da Nang have been sold out."

Meanwhile, for some other routes, the number of bookings is more "reserved". A representative of Quoc Tuan bus company specializing in the Ha Tinh - Hai Phong route said that the number of customers booking tickets is not too high, the company is committed to keeping ticket prices unchanged during the holiday. It is forecasted that from now until the holiday, the number of bookings will gradually increase, so the bus company always ensures that staff are on duty regularly to receive information when passengers have a need.

In anticipation of an increase in passenger numbers, for nearly a month now, many major bus companies such as Hieu Trung, Son Ha, Dung Minh… have proactively added new vehicles and continuously improved service quality to best meet passenger needs.

Mr. Bui Quang Duong - Head of Ha Tinh Bus Station Management Board affirmed: "The Station Management Board has requested transport enterprises to strictly implement the departure procedures, ensuring traffic safety and passenger rights. We will strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations such as overcrowding, increasing ticket prices, and departing illegally to ensure the best service for people during the holidays."

Mr. Duong also warned that the closer the holiday, the more scarce bus tickets will be. Therefore, people should book bus tickets early through the official channels of the bus company or at Ha Tinh Bus Station to ensure tickets and choose the desired seats, avoiding the situation of sold-out tickets or buying tickets on the "black market".
